Days of grace are what we need in the current state of main stream media today. We look to see what is happening and often comment on the day’s events via social media. All this wrapped up into one big exposé causes a lot of heated discussions and stress. Sometimes it is best to step back, take an outsiders approach to what is going on and breathe.
God in difficult times would have certain people set aside for the landscape that was being painted. He caused many of His prophets of old to have influence on the “hill of the capital”. Yes, the Lord would send his message to the king or rulers and let them decide what they would do. Other times the prophets or seers would give illumination to individuals who came to them in a moment of need for guidance.
Today, we can find many things on the internet that are designed to help us understand who we are, what we are, and if possible where we are going. Yes, the questions you find will help you identify with personalities, heroes, signs, and many other things. It’s a fun and innocent challenge, hopefully, but it can cause problems. It’s a take on psychology that helps give trained personnel insight to who you are.
When you were created, God already had a plan and purpose. Part of the challenge of life is discovering who and what that is. You might make a few mistakes here and there and that is okay. But the important part is to seek the One who created it all. He alone can provide the best guidance for you. It’s very similar to what was offered in the old testament with the prophets.
Come before Him with thanksgiving in your heart. Come and seek Him while He can be found. God wants to share with you some intimate details. He likes to provide prophetic words and dreams to go along with words of knowledge. The Lord inputs certain words, phrases, and or pictures in people at opportune times to help guide or shed some insight on their behalf. He wants you to be aware of an upcoming moment in time.
The purpose isn’t to distract you with a specific date and time, but an actual event. The event makes the moment in time meaningful. Otherwise it is just time passing by. But when we associate a particular event with a date, it gains immediate relevance and this is something God is orchestrating for you. If He were not, then there would be no need to mention it prior. But the advance knowledge is for you to know, so when it does happen, providence happened.
These moments in time illustrate a particular picture; these moments in time show a caring and loving God; these moments in time are for you and Him to connect. I say all this to remind you and me that we have a unique blessing. We can call out to the One who first called us. We can garner His attention with a simple thought, glance, smile, or prayer. And we can be called to share something at an opportune time to bless someone in need.
Godspeed, The Journeyman
