carry on...

On and in the banks of the rivers the life history can be found. The deeper the cut in the earth the greater the story to tell. It’s in the constant flow where the water chips away at the framework holding it. For the most part it is effortless, as the water is drawn down the trail. Sometimes the weather augments the currents and other times it almost causes it to vanish. But the currents will return and run the race. Many times the Lord uses the things of nature to teach things of the Spirit. It’s one of the ways He moves, operates, and reveals Himself.

Today, I see a river. Something similar to the likes of the Colorado that cuts through a swath of land that we call the Grand Canyon. Or maybe a more notable water shed is the mighty Mississippi River. Both are fervent bodies that deliver some massive amounts of water. Throughout the years people have labored upon them by floating barges, constructing dams, building bridges and fishing. The uses of the water have been as varied as the colors of the setting sun in the deserts of Arizona.

Whatever the intended use has been it has been for the benefit of others. But the verberations from the Lord say this, “You have been a river for the Lord in your life. Your labors have produced much and others have used that for their benefit and gain.” But I hear the whispers of the Lord saying, “things are changing. No more will you build up and other habitat. No, what you build now will be for you and what the Lord has for you (Isaiah 65: 21-24 AMP).”

Much like the rivers of the earth holding up what others have burdened it to carry, you have been used in the same way. But things are changing in this time, you are a formidable current the Lord is carrying away. He has a purpose for you that will be accomplished. As his Spirit flows, flow with Him.

Your journey now will tell a different story than that of your past. You will start to dictate what God is doing in your life. Don’t stop seeking and learning from Him and of Him (Matthew 6:33 AMP). He is your source. In the end your story will be told.

Godspeed, The Journeyman

Ps. Times are changing fast. It's ever so important to be covered in prayer. He is in charge of the flow so go with Him. Guard your heart and mind. Don’t settle for less than Him and suit up with your armor daily (II Peter 3: 17-18 KJV). Love you all!

Matthew 6: 33 AMP “But seek first of all His kingdom and His righteousness, and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”

Isaiah 65: 21-24 AMP “They shall build houses and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build and another inhabit them, and they shall not plant and another eat. For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, and My chosen and elect shall long make use of and enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain or bring forth for sudden terror or calamity; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them. And it shall be that before they call I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear.”

2 Peter 3:17-18 KJV “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.”
