Now, I’m no expert on what it takes to birth something or someone. But this morning as I thought to talk to the Lord while commuting into work, I got a sense that He is about to birth something. It’s a movement or release that has been gestating for quite some time. In fact, I would say a couple of decades.
Tapped into driving and dropping off my mother, I wound up going to a business men’s dinner. It’s a course that changed my life forever going forward. That is the night of dedication, surrender, and Holy Ghost baptism for me. It was a calm and cool night. One meant for hockey and fellowship. The hockey never came, but the fellowship was out of this world!
What I didn’t understand then, I’m beginning to now. That night was a lot of Mondays ago and I still recall the moment I met the Holy Ghost. He grabbed me and sent me back. No, not down to the ground like the rest of my family. But backwards, several steps, until I hit the wall. No hand touched me just the power of God that night. Check out John 14: 25-26 ESV.
Back to today’s car ride, God was injecting Himself into my prayer time! Ha! Don’t complain if He does. Just a word to the wise out there. This is what we want, an open communication line with the Big Man upstairs, a 2-way street where we both speak and listen.
So in the midst of a prayer, the Author of my faith shows up (Hebrews 12: 2 ESV). He is ever so kind and reminds me that He is doing a thing and it’ll be soon. So I stewed on this for a while longer and then placed it on hold while duties of work took precedence. Then enter in new fellowship time after returning home.
The spirit is perked and being addressed while thinking of the morning talk. God is set to birth something. And He has set it in His people. This is a thing that has been incubating for more than two decades and now is the time for it to come forward. He said, “I placed this inside you 22 years ago and now is the time I call it to pass.” Amen.
What I say to you today, I say to all, there is something planted inside of you by the Master Gardener Himself. He has cultivated your soil. He has watered and fed you. He has pruned you as you’ve grown and now He is about to release or rather reveal what He has placed inside of you to the world and it is a new thing (Isaiah 43: 19 ESV)!
Godspeed, The Journeyman
p.s. Many in the Church today have been awaiting the new movement of the Lord. After my prayer time with Him, I feel it is upon us. Like a city upon a hill or a lamp in the night, you will know because it’ll just be (Matthew 5: 14 ESV). Nothing you did made this, it’s just His will… Enjoy the seas!
John 14: 25-27 ESV “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”
Hebrews 12: 2 ESV “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Isaiah 43: 19 ESV “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Matthew 5: 14 ESV “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
